On the cover: Two color photos of the interior of the Heckel Firm in Biebrich, Germany. The one is of the "Grosser Arbeitsraum" or main work room. The second showing two workers preparing instruments, with Herr Gebhard in the background. These pictures appeared on the annual Christmas card from the firm, and are reprinted here with their kind permission.
