Oboe  Competition of Karuizawa, Japan in this October.  The Competition has
been held triennially since 1985, and to date, the prize winners have taken
the  position of the principal oboist of such world famous orchestra as the
Chicago  Symphony Orchestra, Amsterdam Royal Concertgebouw, Berlin Deutsche
Opera Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de France,
Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, to name a few.

Today,  we are happy to inform you that upon the preliminary screening, the
participants  to  go  on  to  the First Stage have been selected.  Talented
young  oboists  will  be  gathered  from  all over the world to the town of
Karuizawa  to  compete  in this fall.  On October 17, a concert by the jury
members  is scheduled where one could witness and listen to the world class
performance.

We  appreciate your kind cooperation in informing about this Competition to
your  friends,  oboists,  teachers,  and  students who may be interested in
learning  about  it  and  possibly in its participation in the future.  You
