1. Vol. Vll, No.1,1977: Page 7 (Refreshing Change of Pace department), l mentioned that Leonard Sharrow has joined the bassoon section of the Pittsburgh Symphony. Relying on inaccurate information sent me, I stated that Arthur Kubey was retiring from the orchestra. This is not the case. Mr. Sharrow and Mr. Kubey are co-principal bassoonists of the orchestra, and Stephen Paulson left Pittsburgh to join the San Fransisco Symphony .

2. Vol. Vll, No. 3, 1977: Page 4 (A Tape from Rumania. . ) I printed, ". . .where Richard Lottridge and I could listen to the entire tape. We both agreed that for a bassoonist age 60, Prof. Cuciurianu plays extremely well,. . ." This sentence does not reflect Mr. Lottridge's or my actual reaction to the listening of this tape recording. The performance was excellent on any basis, and we said so. Several weeks after the conference, upon my return to Ottawa to prepare this issue of T.T.W.B., I recalled that information on the cover of the box in which this tape was sent mentioned Prof. Gheorghe Cuciureanu's age with the emphasis, "! ! !" I wanted IDRS readers to know more about this important bassoonist and instrument developer from a country whose activities are usually unnoticed by us. Therefore, I included the musician's age in my sentence about hearing the tape. l certainly did not mean to imply in any way that older artists should not play as beautifully as younger ones. I am very sorry that my choice of words may have given this impression.
