For the first time in history the opportunity for double reed players to meet from all over the world will be a reality. Professor Michael Tilmouth has extended the IDRS a cordial invitation to hold our 1980 meeting on the campus of the University of Edinburgh and we have accepted. Mr. Lawrence Taylor will be our host chairman.
Naturally the planning of such a meeting is exciting, but it is also quite
complex. Mr. Taylor was present in Los Angeles and many details were discussed
with the executive committee. Alan Fox has been appointed as a sort of 'Travel
Agent' for the Society and is investigating various fares in preparation for th
