On the cover: This beautiful reproduction of an original watercolor is the work of Texas bassoonist, John A. Stinespring. John, a longtime I.D.R.S. member is former principal bassoon of the South Bend (Indiana) Symphony. Currently he is working on a Ph.D. in Fine Arts at Texas Tech University, playing in the Lubbock (Texas) and Roswell (New Mexico) Symphonies, and studying bassoon with Richard Meek. Ed.
