This last issue of 1986 marks another really fine year for our editors. I hope you will take time to let Ron and Dan know that you do appreciate their efforts. An occasional postcard with a plain "Thanks" will certainly brighten their day!
Each of you could help our Society by simply finding one new member for the 1987 year. It seems so easy, yet it is nigh impossible for the officers or me to reach all the double reed enthusiasts somewhere OUT THERE! Why not do your part? If you have a private student, give them a gift membership. Check to see if that other oboist is a member, and if not, why not? What about that quiet contra player who comes in once or twice a year? What about your TEACHER? There are obviously many double reed players who are not professionals, teachers, or students, but who just love the instrument. If you meet one of these, invite them to join us. Get involved with making the society grow.
