The following proposals for changes in the I.D.R.S. Constitution will be presented to the membership of I.D.R.S. for vote at the first General Meeting of the Las Vegas Conference on Sunday, August 16 at 3:00 p.m. At registration for the Conference a copy of the present constitution and a copy of the proposed amendments will be available to the membership for study before the General Meeting.
I. The office of Treasurer should be eliminated.
COMMENT- The office of Treasurer has been an inactive position
since those duties were assigned to the office of Executive Secretary
-Treasurer in 1983. This amendment simply reflects current practice.
II. A description of the position of Executive Secretary
Treasurer should be added to the Constitution.
COMMENT: This description has been prepared by the Constitutional
Amendment Committee, and also reflects current practice.
III. The duties of the 2nd Vice President should be changed from
"act as a business liaison" to "act as an international
representative ".
IV. The office of Treasurer should be replaced by an office titled
Business Liaison. The Business Liaison should be an appointed
office with privilege to vote in the Executive Committee.
