- There is a $20 Conference Fee this year, per person for the 3-day meeting
to help defray our considerable expenses.

- EVELYN BARBIROLLI - renowned oboe virtuoso, author, editor, teacher, and
recitalist.
- MAURICE ALLARD - distinguished soloist, chamber musician, recording artist,
professor at the Paris Conservatoire and leading exponent of the French System
bassoon. (Kindly note that the eminent bassoonist, SOL SCHOENBACH, originally
scheduled to appear at this Toronto Convention, has reluctantly withdrawn
because he must accompany the Bethlehem Bach Choir, of which he is a board
member, on their European tour in August.)
- JOSEPH MARX - oboist, scholar, teacher and founder of McGinnis and Marx,
Music Publishers.
- THE TORONTO SYMPHONY BASSOON SECTION - Nicholas Kilburn Christopher Weait,
Mitchell Clarke and Bruce Bower.
- THE TORONTO CONSORT - leader Timothy McGee will discuss and demonstrate
double reed instruments used in their concerts of Medieval and Renaissance
music.
- DR. DONALD HARDISTY - University of New Mexico; demonstrating the use of
rounds and canons in bassoon class teaching.
- ROBERT G. CUNNINGHAM - Waldport, Oregon; demonstration of a new oboe
design by Eben Carruthers.
- GARY RAY - President of Wichita Band Instrument Company, will present a
double reed instrument repair clinic.

- GERALD COREY, bassoonist National Arts Centre Orchestra and IDRS Editor
with others in a Trio d'Anches by Joseph Canteloube.
- VIRGINIA HOURIGAN - woodwind doubler - New York City.
- PETER LUTEK - 14-year-old Toronto bassoonist.
- TORONTO BAROQUE TRIO, with oboist MELVIN BERMAN.
- STEWART GRANT - oboist, HARVEY SALTZMAN - bassoonist, M. BRUCE BOWER-
contra-bassoonist.
