Report of the Executive Secretary/Treasurer
by Lowry Riggins
I can still use translators! Especially since the walls came tumblin' down, I have received letters, notes, etc., in languages such as Russian that I simply can not get translated here in the swampland of the USA. If you would be willing to tackle translations from ANY language to English, please let me know. Russian and oriental languages are especially needed.
Those of you who write to me in your native language, PLEASE have patience with me! When I receive your letter, I have two choices. First, I can attempt the translation myself with the help of dictionaries and my own sparse knowledge. Second, I can mail your letter to someone who is able to translate for me.
The 1992 membership card is a pretty blue card with "1992" clearly stated thereon. I have mailed a dues notice and two reminders this year to all members who have not paid.
Help
...
If you send me a message with a critical time date, do use English in addition to your own language. Thanks.
I repeat, "I am NOT a very good linguist!"
Dues
...
If you have not paid your dues for this year, this will be the last issue you receive.
