The music and music instrument firm MOECK of Celle, Germany, is offering three separate study courses to anyone interested in excellent performance on Baroque or Renaissance period instruments (original instruments or contemporary facsimiles).
Of special interest to bassoonists are Course No. 7, July 19 to 25: Baroque woodwinds and viola da gamba, including Baroque oboe, Chalumeau, and Baroque bassoon. And Course No. 9, July 26 to August 1, 1970: Wind instruments of the Renaissance period - Krumhorns, Shawms, and Dulcians, among others. Otto Steinkopf will instruct bassoon, dulcian, and several other instruments at both of these courses.
