Armin Schibler -- Monologe für Fagott und Klavier, Op. 90 (1968). A very interesting, difficult, solo. Five movements. Written for the composer's son, Thomas Schibler, co-principal bassoonist of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. (Eulenburg. Zurich. No. GM 50)

Francis Chagrin -- Deux Pièces pour Basson Seul. Modern, interesting. Like Bach's Suites for Solo Cello, the music is divided into two separate voices or lines, played by a single player. (Novello. England. No. 19766. ca: $1.50)

Jean Coulthard -- Lyric Sonatina for Bassoon and Piano. An interesting, moderately difficult recital piece by this Canadian composer. (Waterloo Music. Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. $2.75)
