French Bassoon society memberships. "Les Amis du Basson Francais" invites all those interested in the history and future of the French system bassoon to join its ranks. There is a very informative newsletter (in French), similar to this publication and printed about twice annually. The society is interested in all news about activities including performances on French bassoons, discussion of the history of all bassoons, differences in reeds, tonal concepts, etc. Subscription costs are: 5 French francs (students); 20 FF (non-professionals); and 50 FF (professionals).
