1977 BASSOON SECTIONS--U.K. and EUROPE

Noah A. Knepper
Fort Worth, Texas

During his recent sabbatical trip to Europe, our good friend and former yeoman Treasurer, Noah Knepper, visited many of the most well-known music conservatories. He also found time to hear a good many concerts and to record for us the information given below: re--bassoons in orchestras abroad. Our sincere thanks for compiling this list, Noah. We feel a bit closer to many of our "Old World" colleagues as a result.

(Editor's note: To our International readership, we would welcome information about all orchestras, oboe and bassoon sections, makes of instruments, reed styles, etc. In short, we are very interested in you and want to know you better. The IDRS plans in the near future to compile an international list of double reed orchestral players. Thank you very much!)
