THE MUNICH COMPETITION
The 25th International Music Competition to be held in Munich, September 7
to 24, 1976 includes a category for oboe performance. The distinguished jury
includes these well-known artists:

The competition is open to oboists born in or between the years of 1946 to
1959.
Each competitor must prepare:

Donizetti -- for Oboe and Piano (Copies are available through the Competition
Secretariat)

For the first test the competitor must prepare: the chosen works of groups A
and E
In the works from groups B and C the competitor should play his own cadenzas
when possible; in group A his own ornamentation.
In the final phase of the competition, each competitor will be given a
baroque piece which he/she must ornament after a suitable period for
preparation.
