THE CHANGING SCENE



DANIEL McANINCH has left the Louisville Orchestra; he will continue in his position at the University of Louisville.

MARIAN GIBSON leaves the Kansas City Philharmonic to assume the first oboe position in Louisville; MARIAN BUSWELL will take the Kansas City post.

FRANCK AVRIL has joined the faculty of the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Mr. Avril was also a winner in the Concert Artists Guild competition and will be presented by them in a recital at the Carnegie Recital Hall in New York.

JONATHAN DLOUHY has joined the Toronto Symphony.

PETER BOWMAN has left the Montreal Symphony to become first oboist of the St. Louis Symphony.

PHILIP SERGEANT has joined the Dallas Symphony.

ELAINE DOUVAS is the new principal oboist of the Metropolitan Opera Company in New York; her former position in the Atlanta Symphony will be filled by ELIZABETH CAMUS, who has already been a member of the orchestra.

ROBERT ZUPNIK has retired from the Cleveland Orchestra after some thirty seasons - he will be replaced by VANCE REGER for the 1977-78 season.
