If anyone wants to hear his playing on records, Eli Carmen is on all of the N.B.C. Symphony recordings made after the fall of 1951, particularly the Beethoven and Brahms Symphonies and the Beethoven Septet. There is also the Beethoven Quintet for piano and winds and the Spohr Nonet, both on the Stradavari label. He recorded the Arthur Berger Quartet on Columbia and the Mel Powell Divertimento on C.R.I. label. With Julius Baker, flute, he recorded the Concerto, "La Notte," for flute, bassoon and strings on the Odyssey label. And there is a very old children's record including Eli's performance of the Weber Hungarian Fantasy, this on Young People's Records. One of the most recent things he did was the sound track for the current film, "Serpico" and also the record album for the film's sound track.
