In the Winter, 1984, Vol. 7, No. 3 issue of The Double Reed in the profile on Benjamin Kohon (page 31) it was incorrectly stated that he was solo bassoonist with the NBC Symphony from 1947 to 1956. In fact Mr. Kohon retired from the orchestra in 1947 and was replaced by Leonard Sharrow until 1951, and subsequently by Elias Carmen until its final broadcast concert on April 8, 1954. Mr. Kohon retired from active playing in 1956. The profile also falls to mention that Mr. Kohon died in 1984. (Thanks to Mr. Leonard Sharrow for these corrections. Ed.)
