Topic: Bassoon tenor range pitch
I play on a Heckel 12K series bassoon with either a CC2 or a VCC1 Heckel bocal. For many years I have been frustrated with the pitch of the B and C just above staff. Both notes tend to be flat compared to the rest of the scale of the instrument (D is also a little flat, but that is to be expected). The B and C in the staff also lean flat but are easier to adjust. Anyone have any thought?
