The University of Central Florida (UCF) School of Performing Arts seeks candidates for a nine-month position as a tenure earning assistant professor. Duties will include recruitment, retention, development, and instruction of the bassoon studio; teaching bassoon techniques to Music Education students; teaching undergraduate level courses in Music Theory and/or Ear Training. The selected candidate will be expected to work well and build relationships with school music educators and private studio teachers, as well as relate to and work well with UCF’s diverse student population. UCF is a major metropolitan research university, enrolling over 66,000 students, located in Orlando, FL, the center of a growing, diverse community of nearly two million people. The Department of Music, within the School of Performing Arts, offers B.A., B.M., B.S., B.M.E., and M.A. degrees.
