Topic: Double Reed Event at Univ. of North Carolina School of the Arts

The University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC will host a woodwind day December 6th from 9am until 5pm. The event will include oboe and bassoon master classes by UNCSA faculty members Saxton Rose and John Ellis as well as reed making seminars, bassoon and double reed ensemble performances, clinics on breathing and practice methods. That evening there will be a performance by the UNCSA woodwind faculty with the participation of french hornist David Jolley. In addition to the double reed activities, UNCSA faculty members Tadeu Coelho (flute), Taimur Sullivan (saxophone), Igor Begelman (clarinet) will give classes and clinics.

The event is free and open to students of all ages and to the public. Tickets to the evening concert will be provided free to all participants and parents of the day's events. Lunch is also provided. Registration starts at 8:30am.

The faculty concert is at 7:30pm in Watson Chamber Music Hall on the UNCSA campus. Map to UNCSA
