Could you perhaps provide us with a few more details? Are you looking for information about shape and profile information that you could apply to reeds you make yourself? Or are you looking to buy reeds that are know to work well with your instrument?

Re: Takeda and Reeds

I make my own reeds from GP cane and I do all the finishing with a knife and file. Things like ovarall length, blade length, tip width, shaper number, side profile of the reed, spine shape and size, mainly blade shading thickness.

My current reeds are made from Rieger GP cane or Gonzalez, Fox K shape, Herzberg bevel, wires at 4, 18, 26, shoulder at 28, blade length 29, overall 54, formed on a Rieger mandrel, cotton thread, back half of reed is flat then tapers to tip, light spine through reed, pretty thin tips, thin blades, thicker side rails, darker heart.
