Topic: Fast E-F-F# grace notes to high G

Anybody know of way to make this a little easier?  I have to play a fast succession of High Gs each preceded by E-F-F# grace notes.

Thanks!

Try:
E, normal fingering,
lift third finger R.H. for F,
lift second finger R.H. for F# (the E-F# trill fingering)
normal G fingering.

That's the only way I can think of that simplifies the normal fingerings I use.

To be complete, I play F# normally:

      Eb
O X O | X X O F

not with the Bb key, as is also common.

Honestly I wonder if you can get away with leaving out the E if returning to the E every time is what's tripping you up. Context should dictate that. If you're doing it with other winds or something just hide behind the flutes! LOL

Thanks Trent, I'll give it a try.

No flutes to hide behind, it's an arrangement for bassoon band.
