Topic: bsn/ob/d'amore trios

Hi all,

I am having a difficult time trying to find a good bsn/ob/d'amore trio.  Any leads?

Also I am looking for an incredibly easy bassoon quartet, perhaps with piano?

Thank you!

Try Trevcomusic.com

on the search page just put the instrumentation you are looking for!

I tried Trevco....the problem is I can't look at the music and so he suggested I ask here!  And there is nothing for that combination unfortunately!!

Dagny, you may want to explore Sandro Caldini's English horn bibliography available on the IDRS home page http://www.idrs.org/resources/EHBlibliography/home.php? In a quick search I found works by Fasch, Janitsch, and Kibbe, for the trio you describe--ob,oda,bn.

This same resource lists bassoon quartets as well.

Re: bsn/ob/d'amore trios

I have some arrangements for oboe , clarinet and bassoon on my website www.wonderfulwinds.com.

I would be happy to convert the clarinet part to oboe d'amore for you.
Actually I could do the same with the oboe trios on there too.
See if there's anything that takes your fancy!

Best wishes,
Anna

Almost any baroque trio for 2 oboes and continuo would work for your instrumentation. Having and obd'am on the lower part would make the music more interesting. crw
