Topic: Gherardi English Horn

I finally figured out the octave key mechanism.  Someone had soldered and inserted random screws which made it completely inoperative.  It's a little further along now then shown.  It acts as a full automatic octave system.  I am manufacturing a replacement arm for a broken piece that lifts the upper octave key.  As shown, it is currently using a badly made part from a horribly botched repair.  As is, it seals and plays nicely through the octaves.  I would like to see another example of this instrument to compare for originality.   I posted examples of reeds in the oboe reed forum for fun.
