Topic: "Guy Humphrey" bassoon?

Hi,

I have an older bassoon that has the "brand" name of "Guy Humphrey"
on the Bell.

It also says "made in West Germany" on it, and a serial # of 1268 (tiny, may be wrong #).

It is dark wood, tiger striped.

The keys are different from the only other bassoon I ever played (in the '70's in Jr. High School, a Linton.)

("Less" keys?)

The Bell ring is white (broken off, can't tell if it is plastic or ivory - outside has dull color, inside bright white)

I bought it about 7 years ago off e-bay for $350 ..!

It plays, but does need some work.

It looks to me to be pretty old, but I am not sure HOW old - 30 years +-

I cannot find this "brand" by web search.

Does anyone have data on it at all, its value, etc?

Thanks,

Mike

It may be a Schreiber. Post a pic of the pinky F# key.
