Topic: Changing text size

Does anyone know how to change the size of the text? I am having trouble reading such small print. I have AOL Explorer if that helps... thank you very much, Carrie Smelser

Re: Changing text size

Hey Carrie:

I don't think you can change the text size within the forum, but you could change it in your browser under View/Text Size.  Kent

Re: Changing text size

Kent is correct. I have also increased the default font of the Forum server from 11 to 12. I hope this helps for AOL users.

Re: Changing text size

I should have mentioned the "Text Size" under the "View" menu is for Internet Explorer.  It may be in a different place if you use a different browser but you will find it.  Kent

Hi Carrie!

I actually learned something new from the chat room.  If you hold down the CTRL key and scroll your mouse, you can alter the text size to conform to your present presbyopic condition.  ;-)

Re: Changing text size

I found this information through a Google search.  I don't have AOL so I can't verify whether it works or not but maybe it will help someone on AOL:

Change Text Size in AOL

  1. Under '*My AOL*' in the AOL Toolbar, select *Preferences*.
  2. Then click on the *WWW* icon in the scrolling list on the left.
  3. On the right, click on *Advanced Settings*. A dialog box will
appear with a collection of controls on the right and a column of
     options on the left.
  4. Select the Browser Display option on the left.
  5. You can set the Text Size to 'Large' or 'Largest' for more
     comfortable reading.
  6. Click the OK button in the Advanced Settings dialog box and then
click the OK button in the Preferences dialog box to make your new
     settings take effect.

Re: Changing text size

Thank you Janie! Holding the CTRL key worked for me. I couldn't find preferences in the toolbar or anywhere else. With every new edition of AOL, the toolbars change. I should have been able to find it. Carrie
