The Saarburger Serenaden, a three-year-old chamber music festival in Saarburg, Germany, has bassoon openings for this coming summer, July 1-15, 2012. Talented high school, undergraduate, and graduate students are encouraged to apply.

Saarburg is in southwestern Germany, not far from Luxembourg. The festival is known for its distinguished faculty, beautiful and charming town and region. The focus is on chamber music, with, of course, private lessons and some traveling. For example, a trip to the Heckel factory is planned, just a couple hours away by car.

Limited performance-based scholarships are available.

Interested students should write mharley@mozart.sc.edu. The application deadline is March 1.
