I am attempting to recreate a laminated chip to repair a Conn propeller wood oboe. I need to know the actual species of wood used. It’s pretty to look at although the base metal for the key work appears to be cast and brittle. I also need to determine what the actual plate material is. One one the trill key finger touches is missing however, the other is intact for a pattern.
