The Boston Symphony Chamber Players just performed a new work, the sacred duo-cantata ,”Where can I go from your spirit?” by Michael Gandolfi that was commissioned by oboist John Ferrillo (pictured below) in memory of his friend and colleague, oboist Laura Ahlbeck. “”‘Into the ears of his dying friend Laura Ahlbeck BSO principal oboe John Ferrillo whispered to Laura the consoling stanzas of Psalm 139 which free the spirit to “. . . drift anywhere it pleases.”””
