If you ever wonder “what might I perform on my next recital?”, or as an amateur woodwind quintet “what’s new and accessible for our quintet to perform?”. Then all you have to do is attend the performances at an IDRS Conference (July 2012 in Oxford, Ohio is the next one. See listing on the IDRS homepage). Not only will you get to hear colleagues from around the world perform over a four-day intense schedule of concerts, but you can visit the exhibits where you will discover vendors that have traveled from around the world with everything from instruments you can try (and purchase) to tools and accessories, and, yes, lots of print music where you might just find that special piece you just heard. You also have the opportunity to purchase a brand new edition that has just been released and premiered at the conference. All in one place for one low price. If you have never experienced an IDRS Conference, perhaps 2012 is the year to do so. See you there!
