Can Music Programs Help Solve the Workforce Skills Gap?
We all know or have taught music majors who moved on to extremely successful careers and jobs in non-music fields. Recent findings show a gap between skills employers are hiring for and the skills of applicants applying for those open positions. This lecture explores how skills taught in music (and arts) can enhance non-arts programs to make students more workforce ready.
