Description:P14 contra shape made in 1977, used Feb. through May '81, except for some pieces with low notes that needed the P1 shape reed. The P14, this sample, at least, was balky at times in the low register. It was loud and bright, not too rough, and worth imitating if the second sample turns out not to be balky in the low register. Longatt cane? tube was shrunk by the wrapping and tugging method.
