The performance will feature two pieces for oboe or English horn and percussions. I'd like to showcase this combination of instruments because playing with keyboard percussion is a nice alternative to playing with piano, and the program will also feature female composers One piece is by a current IDRS member and the other is by a female military veteran who was a winner in the Dallas Winds 2016 and 2017 Fanfare Competitions.
