• Perform on oboe and English horn in the Concert Band of The US Army Field Band
• Tour 100 days per year in the US and abroad
• Perform in chamber ensembles
• Perform for broadcast audiences, live events, and educational outreach
• Refine and learn new music industry skills
Additional Details:
SALARY & BENEFITS
• $70,000-75,000 starting salary
• 30 days paid vacation annually
• Full Medical and Dental care, plus medical care for immediate family members
• Permanent assignment at Fort Meade, MD, in the Washington, D.C. area
• Money for additional education
• Eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional performance level
• Bachelor of Music degree or higher preferred
• Proficiency in various musical styles
• Strong sight-reading skills
• Ability to meet Army height,weight, and fitness standards
• Civilian applicants must be 17–34 years of age, or up to 42 with an age waiver
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
