    Hi,

This may not be the right place to post this message, but I couldn’t find any better one.
I just bought a(n old Couesnon) bass sarrusophone, and I would appreciate some guidance about the appropriate reed specs (to have them made by a bassoonist equipped with a reed-making machine). I noticed that the bocal tip diameter is 6.6 mm, larger than the bassoon bocal tip diameter (5 mm), but what should be the reed length and width ? If someone would know whether reeds for another instrument (French bassoon or contrabassoon ?) would work, taht would also be very helpful.

    Thanks in advance,

    Gérard
