I’ve been playing around with different shapes for my Püchner oboe, and my teacher recently suggested I try to discover what other Püchner oboists are finding useful.
Peter Hurd, who sold me my Püchner several years back, says that he uses a Gilbert #1, and recommended I post the question to the IDRS Forum to see what others have to say.
If you’re so inclined, I’d be grateful if respondents would indicate what style of reed they use (e.g., I use an American scrape), what staples they use, and what they like about the shape(s) they recommend.
    Many thanks,
    David
