This program is a celebration of the 70th Birthday of Nancy Galbraith. This American women composer is praised for her rich harmonic texture, rhythmic vitality, and emotional and spiritual depth with major contributions to the repertoires of symphony orchestras, concert choirs, chamber ensembles, and soloists. She has had six works premiered with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and has a close relationship with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, who premiered her choral works "Missa Mysteriorum" and "Requiem."
