IDRS Podcast and Video Cast
Welcome to the International Double Reed Society Podcast!
This is a monthly feature of the IDRS, with a new podcast episode around the beginning of each month. These podcasts contain interviews, sound clips, and other items of interest for members of the IDRS.

Subscribe
You can subscribe to the podcast in several ways: 1) get an "RSS reader," use 2) Safari, or 3) direct access to the site.
- RSS reader (iTunes or another Reader): iTunes may be downloaded for free at http://www.apple.com/itunes/. This software has the advantage of backing from the Apple company with direct access to its products. If you don't like the commercial aspect try number 2.
Instructions for iTunes: Once you have downloaded iTunes select Podcast on the left hand menu. Then at the top locate and select "advanced" then "subscribe to podcast. A window will open in which you need to past the URL. Paste this in the window:

Your podcast should then start downloading to your computer within Itunes. - Safari: If you are using Safari as your browser, just click on this link:

What is a Podcast?
A podcast is an audio or video file distributed over the web on a regular schedule. People receive these through their Internet linked computers and many play these on iPods or similar devices. The IDRS podcast currently uses MP3 format and may be heard on computers equiped to play these sound files. For further information on postcasts see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcasting
Unfabulous Sonic Prize
Be sure to listen to IDRS Podcast and compete each month for the "Unfabulous Sonic Prize." Game rules below:
Game rules: In each IDRS Podcast a mystery selection of music will be played. In order to compete for the "Unfabulous Sonic Prize" you will need to send your name, city of residence, and birthdate to idrspodcast@comcast.net by the 21st of the month prior to the new podcast. The youngest contestant having the correct answer will win! Final prize determination made by the IDRSPodcast host.
