Event Description:

Presented this summer by Dr. Charles Huang, The Hart School School Community Division, and Dr. Kristin Leitterman, Assistant Professor of Oboe at Arkansas State University. The focus will be on solo performance, the fundamentals of oboe-playing and reed-making skills.

Additional Details:

Participants will have intensive oboe instruction for five days, resulting in a performance on the last day. Dr. Huang and Dr. Leitterman will work intensively one-on-one with each teacher, carefully assessing each oboist’s strengths and needs to improve performance skills. All participants will have an opportunity to play for Dr. Galit Kaunit (Colorado State University) in a special class that will focus on recital repertoire. A piano accompanist will be provided during the week and for the concert.
