There are still openings for bassoon students for the 2007 Burgos Chamber Music Festival in Burgos, Aranda, Salamanca, Bilbao, and Madrid, Spain to take place July 16 – July 31.

The festival is sponsored by the University of Illinois School of Music in conjunction with governmental agencies in the Castilla y Le?on region of Spain. It is a two-week chamber music festival devoted to brass, woodwind and mixed wind instrument repertoire. The faculty includes members of the Illinois Woodwind Quartet; John Dee, oboe and Timothy McGovern, bassoon. Saxton Rose will be guest bassoon faculty during the first week.

The cost is $1900 for participating enrollees, which includes all coachings/master classes/lessons, bus transportation between Madrid, Burgos, and other cities in Spain as part of the official festival itinerary, and some social activities and sightseeing. The program price includes room and board (all meals).

Download the brochure for more information.
