Getting to Oxford

Plane

Arriving by Plane

The two best major airports for flying to Oxford, Ohio, are Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and Dayton International Airport (DAY).  Both are approximately an hour’s drive from campus and offer rental cars, private shuttles, and rideshare/taxi services. Please note that the hotels with reserved blocks for IDRS do not provide shuttles to/from either airport.

Rideshares to/from the airport may cost around $100 per Uber or Lyft ride; it is highly encouraged to coordinate airport transportation with other conference attendees to share this cost.  Resources to assist in coordinating this transportation will be made available closer to the time.

Oxford may have fewer on-demand transportation options available for rides as far as the airport, so we recommend reserving a rideshare or shuttle in advance to ensure your travel goes as planned. For more help, please visit Enjoy Oxford’s transportation page.

Bus and Train

Arriving by Bus or Rail

Bus

Oxford is served by Greyhound and FlixBus, with a bus stop right on the Miami University campus.

Train

There is no direct rail (Amtrak) service to Oxford; the nearest rail (Amtrak) station locations are in Cincinnati, OH (Union Terminal) and Connersville, IN.  The city of Cincinnati, like Oxford, is served by Greyhound and FlixBus, however these buses do not stop directly at the Cincinnati Union Terminal Amtrak stop.  You would need to transfer from the train station to the bus stop at another location.
