Dr. Cody Hunter will present a half recital featuring new works for unaccompanied bassoon. The program will contain works by Lithuanian bassoonist/composer Žilvinas Smalys and Australian music educator/composer Alex Manton. A world premier of a piece by Ms. Manton will also be featured on this half recital. These two composers are creating new, accessible works that are fantastic additions to the solo bassoon repertoire, full of character and exploring all colors of the bassoon.
