As part of my ongoing exploration of American works for bassoon and piano, I would like to perform the Sonata for Bassoon and Piano by Robert Baksa. This work was composed in 1992 and revised in 2005, but I do not believe it has been performed often. I performed it on a faculty recital at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2011, and I am eager to present it at the IDRS Conference.
