Soldago Reed Trio

The Solidago Reed Trio, a resident faculty ensemble at Morehead State University, Morehead, KY, USA performs a half-recital of works by living composers at the 2020 IDRS Conference. This recital includes works by bassoonist/composer Jamie Leigh Sampson, Fredonia NY (b. 1984); bassoonist/composer Christopher Weait, Columbus, OH, IDRS Honorary Member (b. 1939), and Daniel Pappas, Burlington, IA (b. 1981). Solidago premiered the work by Christopher Weait on February 17, 2019. Weait’s and Ms. Sampson’s pieces have not yet been performed at an IDRS conference. The IDRS performance of Daniel Pappas’ work will be the world premiere. Solidago is dedicated to performing not only the standard works for reed trio, but also to promote recent works by living composers. All the pieces in this program have been written since 2017.
