A brief biography:

Alexandra Gordon Smith is a freelance oboist in Baton Rouge and currently teaches at the University of Texas at El Paso as Instructor of Oboe. Gordon Smith frequently performs across a variety of genres and settings including orchestral, chamber, and contemporary music. Gordon Smith’s diverse artist background has led to her performing with numerous ensembles including the Baton Rouge Symphony, the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, the Reno Chamber Orchestra, and the American Modern Ensemble to name a few. Gordon Smith is currently a doctoral student studying under Dr. Andrew W. Parker at Louisiana State University.
