A brief biography:

My name is Olivia Benna and I am a 2021 graduate of Youngstown State University. My Bachelors in Music Performance is in flute, but I did play bassoon as a secondary instrument during my studies. I've had more opportunities to play bassoon after graduating and continue to take lessons with Linda Morton-Fisher in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. I play in a community band, but I would like to eventually audition and play in a community orchestra. I do have a lofty dream of maybe one day studying bassoon at the Graduate level and perhaps writing a paper on my experience of playing both flute and bassoon and how studying both instruments benefit each other and what challenges it brings. I am hoping to find any opportunity to improve my playing and become a better musician overall.
