| A brief biography: | Ella made her orchestral debut at 11 at the Vienna Konzerthaus and has since performed with the US Army Field Band and Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago. She has appeared at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. A two-time Grand Prize winner of the Philadelphia International Music Festival Concerto Competition, she also won the DePaul National Concerto Competition. As a From the Top fellow, her performance and interview recently aired on NPR. She was selected for 2026 NYO2, and presented a series of solo recitals for Young Artist Performances. She is a BUTI alumna, and has worked with John Ferrillo and Philippe Tondre in masterclasses. She studies oboe at Juilliard Pre-College with Yousun Chung and Elaine Douvas. Her recent focus is on tonal flexibility and narration in unaccompanied repertoire |
