A brief biography:

Rishi Bhattacharyya is an oboe and English horn player currently finishing his studies at State College Area High School. He will join the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA) for its 2026 European tour. His ensemble experience includes the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, Interlochen Art Camp's World Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the 2025 NAfME All-Eastern Orchestra,. Rishi has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, and Heinz Hall under conductors including Cristian Măcelaru, Louis Langrée, Matthias Pintscher, and Karina Canellakis. A 2025 Interlochen Orchestral Scholar and NPR "From the Top" finalist, he studies with Andreas Oeste of the Harrisburg Symphony, with additional instruction from Cynthia Koledo DeAlmeida.
